What is the Flu?

• A contagious disease caused by an airborne virus, not bacteria
• It actually lives and multiplies primarily in your lungs, even though you may feel sick all over
• Most important, the flu is something the physicians at Northside Urgent Care and Family Medicine can treat

What it isn’t….

• “Stomach Flu” the flu doesn’t usually cause you to get a stomach ache or vomit
• “a cold”
• It isn’t something you have to suffer through

What can you do?
